Aceros Arequipa continues to strengthen operational performance by optimizing processes and maximizing the use of recycled materials with a focus on circular economy.
The company has a fume treatment plant that reduces the concentration of particles released into the atmosphere. This process recovers zinc oxide and generates a by-product that has various industrial applications, such as ceramics, glass, lubricants, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and agriculture, among others.
During 2024, 3,578 thousand tons of by-products were recovered. The project also prevents this waste from being deposited in landfills, promoting more efficient processes, cleaner technologies, and fostering the circular economy.
