During the 98th session of the Steel Committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Alacero signed a historic agreement to create LATAM Trade Radar, a strategic alliance aimed at increasing transparency and traceability of steel trade flows in Latin America.
The Latam Trade Radar Report will be an annual publication developed jointly by Alacero and the OECD, which will present detailed analyses of direct and indirect trade flows between Latin America, China, and ASEAN, as well as the evolution of trade defense measures in the region. Its objective is to provide a solid, comparable, and up-to-date database to support strategic decision-making.
The agreement is a key tool for addressing the structural problems facing the industry and promoting fairer and more balanced trade.
The first version of the report is scheduled for March 2026, representing a milestone in institutional cooperation between the OECD and Latin America.
