Steel Standard Principles - 2023

Standard Steel Principles, a document that recognizes the importance of common methodologies for measuring greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and accelerating the transition to near-zero emissions.

Thirty-five organizations participated in the signing of the document. The Principles recognize that our sector is responsible for approximately 8% of global annual greenhouse gas emissions and that these emissions must be reduced by at least 90% to achieve the industry's climate goals.
