Technical Commitees

At Alacero, we have technical committees composed of representatives from member companies.

Each committee is coordinated by an Alacero representative and chaired by an industry executive. Participation in these working groups fosters the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and methodologies, promoting initiatives of common interest.

Objectives:
Serve as a collaborative space for the communication departments of member companies. Develop and execute a communication strategy that aligns with Alacero’s objectives, ensuring regional and international impact. Promote the benefits of steel and strengthen the corporate reputation of the industry in Latin America.

Objectives:
Identify and analyze economic, trade, and political developments that impact the competitiveness and sustainability of the steel value chain in Latin America. Ensure strong representation in global forums and with key stakeholders. Collect, process, and analyze data on production, demand, trade, installed capacity, and industry forecasts. Publish reports and analyses to address short- and long-term sector challenges.

Objectives:
Promote the adoption of sustainable policies and technologies among member companies. Focus on decarbonization and technological solutions for a more sustainable steel industry. Facilitate strategic meetings, comparative analyses, and innovation projects to accelerate sustainable transformation.

Objectives:
Develop strategies and implement programs that enhance companies’ ability to attract, train, and retain the next generation of steel industry talent.

Objectives:
Develop and apply effective workplace health and safety practices within member companies. Organize working groups, strategic meetings, benchmarking visits, and technical projects to reduce workplace accidents and promote safer environments.

GOVERNANCE

The General Assembly is the governing body of Alacero, composed of representatives from member companies. Only active members have voting rights.

The Board of Directors (Executive Committee) consists of seven members, including the President and Directors.
