Organizational changes at Alacero

Since June 1, 2024, Ezequiel Tavernelli has assumed the Executive Direction of ALACERO, replacing Alejandro Wagner, who returned to his home country, Argentina, to face new professional and personal challenges.

Ezequiel Tavernelli, also an Argentine, is an industrial engineer and has completed an Executive Development Program at IAE, the business school of the Austral University of Argentina. He developed his career within the Techint Group since 1997, where he held various positions in the Planning and Commercial Areas of Ternium Argentina. Additionally, he led the ProPymes Program for strengthening the value chain for over 15 years.

Ezequiel Tavernelli will take on the challenge of continuing the process of transformation and modernization of Alacero under the Presidency of Jorge Luiz Ribeiro de Oliveira, CEO of ArcelorMittal Flat Steel and Vice President of ArcelorMittal Brazil, who has been elected for the 2024-2025 term.

Together, they will work to advance the revaluation of the association, based on the potential of the alliances that the organization has been building for more than 60 years, especially in times of great challenges like those currently facing the steel industry in the region.
