Registration is now open for the 21st edition of steelChallenge. This learning competition brings together students and professionals in a dynamic global challenge: to produce steel that meets demanding performance and sustainability goals.
The challenge combines technical knowledge, decision-making, and efficiency, as participants must produce steel of a specific quality using steeluniversity’s manufacturing simulators while meeting certain technical requirements at the lowest possible cost.
In addition to the categories for industry professionals and college students, this edition introduces a new category for high school students, expanding the reach of a competition that has already brought together more than 30,000 participants since its inception.
The steelChallenge-21 will hold its Regional Championship on November 17, 2026. The top participants in the Industry and College Student categories will advance to the World Championship, which will take place on April 19, 2027.
In addition to the competition, registrants will have access to training resources from steeluniversity, including online courses, masterclasses, 3D models, and simulators to practice with before the challenge. In this way, the initiative offers an experience that combines learning and hands-on application, exposing students and professionals to scenarios that replicate real-world decision-making in steel manufacturing.
Alacero supports the Regional Championship and is offering a free registration coupon to participate.
